Lacy Flurry + Matt Maggio | Horseshoe Bend, Arizona | First Look & Portrait Session

Lacy Flurry and Matt Maggio, high school sweethearts who spent their high school years hours apart in two different cities; married this year in October after nine years of dating.

They happen to be some of our very best friends — so theĀ four of us set out for a 6,300 mile roadtrip across the country from Arkansas to the west coast and up north.

They considered getting married on the trip, but decided they wanted their families to be present for their special day, totally understandable! But they decided on something I think is just as neat as getting married out west — doing their first look and portraits instead! We all decided an intimate first look at Horseshoe Bend in Arizona — 1,000 feet up, overlooking the Colorado River would be perfect!

It was a little unconventional, but so worth it!

They carried their wedding day attire – flower crown and all (made by local Arkansas florist, Anna Rogers) across the country for a first look and photo session that was nothing short of amazing.

We did 3 engagement sessions, 1 bridal session and 1 ‘first look’ and portrait session during the 13 day trip in August.

The sessions ranged from locations like Lake Tahoe in California, Glacier National Park in Montana, Canyon X in Arizona, and finally Horseshoe Bend in Arizona. The other sessions will be featured on the blog in upcoming weeks — and their wedding as well!

Still dreaming of all the beauty from our trip! <3

Cara Erwin & Boyd Schaefer | North Little Rock, AR Wedding

Cara and Boyd got married earlier this year in their home church and it was magical! It was supposed to rain all day long – and guess what, majority of the day it was clear! It didn’t rain until we were finished with all of their outdoor photographs and I was so thankful for this! It was a day filled with lots of laughter and a few happy tears. We loved getting to witness just how close these two were with their family and friends – they were surrounded by so much love! We are so thrilled to bring this sweet wedding to the blog this evening!

Leah Yeager + Payne Harding | Little Rock, AR Wedding

Leah & Payne found us through a mutual friend and I am so thankful they did, because working with this pair was a blast! They celebrated with friends and family on April 22nd at their family farm in Little Rock. The ceremony was intimate with mostly family and a few friends; afterwards they celebrated with a large party later that eventing with more guests! The venue, a house located on the property was the perfect setting – there was even a wine-seller underground that led to the reception entrance – so fun!

As you may notice from the photos, it rained literally almost all day long! I was able to snap a few shots of the outdoor reception area before the rain really hit and from there on I prayed it would let up, but it was a constant sprinkle for hours. So we made the best of it and brought out a cute umbrella and made use of the gorgeous front porch – those portraits are some of my favorites of the day!

Payne is the head chef and owner of Cache’ in Little Rock, the restaurant is actually how he and Leah met – for a short time Leah worked at the restaurant.

With Payne’s background in food – you can imagine how wonderful their reception food was. The food was delicious and endless – gourmet cheese, meats, sushi, stir-fry and more. This was some of the best wedding food I have ever eaten y’all!

Their reception lasted late into the night and it was truly a party! Their band, who is from Florida – was so awesome! They broke out the masks (haha, you’ll see what I am talking about below) and they had such a fun time! There was so much love at the reception, you can tell how much L&P really love their friends and family; and vice versa — there was so much laughter and hugs! So sweet to look back through these and share them on the blog today!

Emily + James Snow | Bentonville, AR Wedding

When two strangers from different parts of the country signed up to work for a program in Boston for at risk high school students, they didn’t expect to find their soulmate; but like many love stories – Emily and James found love in an unexpected way. After a year with AmeriCorps, the pair were the only two in their program to give it a go for a second year in a row.

Emily says:

“Working so closely together really helped us to know that we had found something special. At the end of the second year in Boston, I moved to Nashville to teach Special Education there, and James told me that he wanted to come with me. I will always remember him telling me that; it was right after a concert that he went with me to (one of my very favorites), and I was ecstatic but didn’t want him to feel like I was pressuring him. I never told him this, but that was when I knew deep down that we would get married one day.”

These two were so in love and it showed from the very first time we met them during their engagements in Kansas City – where they both live now. It was freezing, but they made the best of it and we had a great time getting to know them. We will forever think of them when we think of Kansas City! Fast forward to their wedding.

I love something about every wedding we photograph. But with Emily and James, I loved every single part (seriously) it was planned so well from top to bottom, inside and out. It was intimate yet still a good size; held in the backyard of her family home. It was wonderful. We thought it might rain (Thank you mother nature for preventing that!) but it was clear all day long, allowing us to capture every little detail without having to worry about the weather. Emily credits most of the success of the wedding to her mom, which I am sure is where her amazing planning skills come from. I was so blessed to have such an organized bride – she was always so prompt and helpful when I asked her questions.

Emily: “Planning our wedding was all about the help of family and friends. Outside of the week-of when we almost had to move the wedding inside for extreme weather, with the help of my family and friends it really wasn’t stressful for James and I at all. I’m a details person (it was actually very relaxing for me to make a spreadsheet Cue-to-Cue of everything happening on the day of) and my mom is a vision person. More than anything else, it was a bonding experience for us, we make a great team! My mom handmade so many perfect little details- the beautiful signs with the white script, the tassels on the garland, even the pew markers! There was nothing that I could dream up that she couldn’t make happen. And what she didn’t make or find, someone else did! Almost every detail and decoration was touched by the love of our families and my community (I lived in Bentonville from preschool through graduating from BHS). One of my bridesmaids families that we’ve known forever just happened to have an ice cream truck that they lent us for the day! It really was such a humbling and loving experience to have so many people who wanted to help make our day perfect. And it really was.”

Emily and her mom really thought of it all. The macarons were the best I have had in my life (no exaggeration here!), the ice cream truck, the mustang, the greenhouse where we did portraits after, the “snow” that the guests threw at the exit, the lotion they gave out as favors (Fresh Sparkling Snow scented from Bath & BodyWorks), the giftbags for out-of-towners with a ‘Bentonville’ theme and ideas for tourists; and so many other sweet details. The ceremony had everyone in the crowd (including me) tearing up, it was so genuine and romantically sweet.

Emily: “Having so many handmade and borrowed elements really made our wedding very affordable without having to make many hard choices in terms of money. Between my mom working on the wedding basically full-time on top of our hired wedding planner, we had a team assembled around us and it really brought costs down. Our planner I felt was very affordable, but I would definitely say that every single bride should have one. At the very least, a day-of planner, who you feel truly understands your entire vision. It really took away the stress from me and my mom on the day of to know that we could leave the last minute decisions to someone we trusted. Other splurges for us were a great photographer (which I would also recommend to every bride–it’s so easy to forget many of the details of your wedding, and the pictures will remind you of everything you forget!), pampering/beauty for us and the wedding party (we are firm believers that we need to pamper our people), and lots of flowers to really emphasize the garden party feel! We also wanted to locally source as many of our foods in particular as possible, so that was an important investment as well.”

Cheers to one of my favorite weddings of all time! Love this couple to the moon!

Abbey Jensen + Kyle Lusinger | St. Lucia Wedding

A year ago this week – we spent a week in St. Lucia with our best friends – Abbey and Kyle; along with Abbey’s mom and sister (who are also our second family).

We flew in to photograph their wedding; and it was one of the most memorable weeks of our lives. We made so memories; we snorkeled, hiked, saw beautiful waterfalls, swam and ate the most delicious food ever. I wish we were there right now actually. I can’t believe it took me a year to blog this gorgeous day & trip; but I thought this week would be perfect as they celebrate their anniversary. The ceremony took place at the resort we stayed at, Sandals in St. Lucia – one of the three St. Lucia Sandal’s resorts actually. It was wonderful & SO relaxing! So much has happened in a short year, it has been an exciting adventure for the Lusinger’s marriage so far! We love you two and hope you have the best week! XO!

Drew + Kevin | Snoqualmie Falls, Washington Wedding

SNOQUALMIE FALLS WEDDING – WASHINGTON

Very close friends of ours from Arkansas celebrated their wedding almost 1,800 miles from home on May 25, 2017. Drew and Kevin planned a vacation with a few friends and on whim decided that Snoqualmie Falls, just outside of Seattle would be the perfect spot for their wedding. They asked family and friends what they thought about them turning their vacation into a wedding trip – so many friends and family were on board and everything started to fall into place.

They invited close friends and family – and expected a small number of guests to attend – but close to 30 guests flew in from all over the country. Their ceremony took place literally on top of the falls, in a room right off the side of the lodge. It was perfect! Drew and Kevin decided to walk in together to signify the bond that they are one, we loved this so much. Kevin’s mom was in attendance and smiling from ear to ear the entire day. For Jaison and I, it was such a special day – we loved capturing these photos K&D!

The couple did a live stream of the ceremony on Facebook for those who could not attend.

& Nature showed off a bit with a rainbow behind them during their portraits (THIS WAS NOT PHOTOSHOPPED!) Amazing, right?!

As you can see from all of the hugs and love – these two were surrounded by the best company. There were laughs, tears and a lot of love.

The week leading up to the wedding many of the guests flew in early and our group explored seattle with one another – going to the original Starbucks, Pike’s Place Market, the gum wall, the troll, the original house that inspired the movie Up!; and more!

Unique elements from the day that we love:

The rainbow in the portraits of course!!!!!!

Their suits were custom made in Conway, Arkansas by Bell & Sward, a local small business.

The wine they served was made by Salish lodge itself.

Words from the groom (one of them):

The Wedding – (In Drew’s Words) We’d originally planned to return to the resort where we got engaged for our wedding. Ultimately we decided we’d rather stay domestic to allow some of our friends to be there. In January, we were returning from a trip to one of our favorite places: Seattle. On the plane, I asked Kev ā€œif we could get married anywhere in the country, where would you choose?ā€ I had already given this some thought and knew that Snoqualmie Falls just outside of Seattle would be my choice. He thought for a moment and then said ā€œYou know, I think I’d choose Snoqualmie.ā€ At this point, we already had a trip to Seattle with 2 of our closest friends booked for May. I asked him, ā€œWhat if we just got married while we’re there in May?ā€ Quickly he said ā€œthat could work, as long as my mom could be there.ā€ We called Debbie (Kevin’s mom) and she said she wouldn’t miss it. We then invited about 30 of our friends, thinking with such short notice (less than 2 months) we may have 10-15 people there. Much to our surprise, 30 of our closest friends from across the country were able to join us.

Our wedding was flawless. We wanted a very simple ceremony that felt warm and chill – just like we try to be in all of our relationships. Salish Lodge & Spa is nestled at the top of Snoqualmie Falls. We booked a small outdoor venue there that overlooked the falls, and had our reception in the Lodge’s atrium. The ceremony was short, sweet, and intimate. We streamed it on Facebook live so our friends who weren’t able to join in person were able to attend at home.

After the wedding and reception, Kev and I were in our room talking about how perfect the day felt and what we most enjoyed. We were so thankful that so many of our closest friends were able to be there and just share a low-key, fun day with us. The dinner (and open bar!) at the lodge were fantastic. Our friends shared stories of our experiences with them and well-wishes for our lives together. Between this and the gorgeous photos from the lodge, we couldn’t have asked for more!

____________________________________________________________________________________________

The Proposal – (In Drew’s Words) We got engaged at a small resort in the Dominican Republic in July of 2016. I’d booked a romantic dinner on the beach that was supposed to be a surprise for Kev. When we checked in at the resort, they said ā€œwe have dinner romantica for you on Saturday, yes?ā€ I played it off to Kev as ā€œsomething we hadn’t done before that’d be fun to do.ā€ He trusted me and had no idea! I proposed on the beach with guitarists playing behind us and the ocean rushing next to us. I remember shaking the whole time, and in the video we have, as soon as he says yes you me exhale and start to breathe again. Definitely the most anxious moment (but good anxious!) of my life. Kevin says he freaked out when he realized I was proposing and heard nothing I said, and tuned back in just in time to say ā€œthis is where I say yes, right?ā€

Quotes from Vendors:

Desi Jean Buchanan – event planning – Salish Lodge

“Drew & Kevin are the perfect example of clients-turned-friends. From the beginning of the planning process up to the moment they walked down the aisle together, they were kind & so genuine. Their joy was infectious – to their guests, my staff, & especially to me. I am so thrilled to have played a small role in this special day!

Salish Lodge & Spa is the iconic Pacific Northwest venue. Nestled at the base of the Cascade Mountains on the top of the incredible Snoqualmie Falls, it is a gorgeous backdrop for a special celebration. Plus, the perfect anniversary spot: state-famous brunch, full spa, fireplaces in each guest room, & a staff completely focused on giving you personal & friendly service.”

Savannah Kirkdoffer – Hybrid Hair Studio

“Kevin and Drew both started out as clients but quickly grew to something more. They have become some of my closest friends and a couple that I personally look up to and admire. There was no way I would miss there wedding and definitely no way I would not help them look there absolute best on such an important day. I truly love my craft and being able to be apart of such a beautiful time in their life.”

Lodge/Venue info

Snoqualmie Falls is a 268-foot waterfall in the northwest United States, located east of Seattle on the Snoqualmie River between Snoqualmie and Fall City, Washington

Snoqualmie Falls is one of Washington state’s most popular scenic attractions. More than 1.5 million visitors come to the Falls every year. At the falls, you will find a two-acre park, gift shop,Ā observation deck, the Salish Lodge and the famous 270 foot waterfall.

History

A brief history of Snoqualmie Falls

Courtesy Seattle PI – Thursday, February 6, 2003

“Several thousand years ago, when the glaciers receded, they left a fertile plain near Snoqualmie Falls. When Native Americans arrived, they found a bounty of edible bulbs, roots and berries on the prairie. Deer and mountain goats were plentiful.

Though there were no salmon above the falls, the upper Snoqualmie River became a seasonal rendezvous and meeting place as trade among native peoples increased. The Snoqualmie Tribe (a subgroup of the Coast Salish) established a camp at the base of Mount Si. They also established villages at Fall City and Tolt (Carnation).

Snoqualmie is the English pronunciation of ā€œsah-KOH-kohā€ or ā€œSdob-dwahibbluh,ā€ a Salish word meaning moon. As a spiritual place, it gave birth to many legends. One tells of ā€œS’Beowā€ (the beaver), who climbed into the sky to bring trees and fire down to earth. The Native Americans who roamed the valley were known as people of the moon.

White settlers began to arrive in the valley by the early 1850s. Long before, the falls became a tourist destination; pioneer women would edge as close to the falls as they could while friends held on to their dresses to keep them from falling. Jeremiah Borst was the first permanent white settler in the Snoqualmie Valley and is known to some as ā€œthe father of the Snoqualmie Valley.ā€

Josiah Merrit (ā€œUncle Siā€) built a cabin at the base of a local peak in 1862 (the peak became known as Uncle Si’s mountain — now Mount Si). He raised vegetables and hogs and kept an orchard. According to local historians, he was a rugged man who sometimes hauled bacon to the large settlements.

To do so necessitated hauling the load on a sled to the river, canoeing downstream, strapping the load to his back and climbing down the 268-foot falls, hiking several miles, and then canoeing the rest of the way to Everett or Seattle.

By 1877, there were several logging operations in the region. In early days, logs were floated over the falls and down the river to Everett and Puget Sound. By 1889, entrepreneurs funded and built a railroad (the Seattle, Lake Shore and Eastern) into the valley, opening up timber resources to the world market.

In 1889, the town of Snoqualmie was platted by Charles Baker, a civil engineer. He also constructed an underground power plant at the falls in the 1890s (those original generators are still functioning today). The power plant resulted in electricity and jobs for locals, and soon a small company town was established at the falls. In 1911, a second powerhouse was constructed.

Such large waterfalls often attract daredevils. When that first passenger train arrived in 1889, it was a big event — more than 1,000 people turned up for food, celebration and entertainment. A Mr. Blondin successfully walked a tightrope over the falls.

In 1890, Charlie Anderson was less fortunate. He parachuted into the canyon from a hot-air balloon, but when he opened the chute a strong air current pushed him toward the falls. As the crowd watched in horror, another gust pulled him in another direction and dropped him on a large boulder; he died that night.”

Savannah + Matt Boyce | Little Rock, AR Wedding

Savannah and Matt were one of the first couples to get married in the newly remodeled Robinson Center in Little Rock; and this wedding was for sure one for the books! Their April wedding was so much fun!

We officially met Savannah & her mom Ā through CrossFit Align in NLR, where we all workout together. But, we have known the Harrington family as a whole for a while; dating back to our high school roots when Jaison and I went to school with Savannah’s older brother – Danny. We also photographed her sister Maddie, at football games when she was a NLRHS cheerleader; (and her cousin’s own the gym I was talking about; so we have lots of ties to this sweet family!)

It was really fun getting to know these two even better through the entire wedding process. From engagements, to bridals and then the wedding day – they were nothing but amazing to work with!

They both are tap dancers so their ‘first dance’ was of course an AWESOME tap number! We especially loved Savannah’s custom bedazzled tap wedding shoes! (all the heart eyes)! And her dress was literally one of a kind, designed by the fabulous Laine Berry of Inverness in Conway.

If you can’t tell they were in pure wedding bliss all day long and celebrated with friends and family at an amazing reception! Thank you so much for choosing us as your wedding photographers, we love you both (and your family) to the moon! So thankful our friendship will continue through CrossFit! <3

Summer Styled Shoot | Jamestown Ranch, Arkansas

Happy Sunday! When we get to collaborate with other vendors, it is our favorite thing! This team was so great; we highly recommend each and every one of them. We got togetherĀ and created a styled shoot with Rebecca and Jacob, one of our favorite couples! They got married in 2015 and it was so much fun to photograph them again.

Our theme was simple, southern and natural with a touch of boho chic. The dress that the bridal cottage let us use was absolutely gorgeous and Rebecca looked so amazing in it! Sending big hugs to all that collaborated on this shoot with us! Anna Roger’s floral design really came to life and we have received so many compliments on our photos from this set that have included “oh my gosh look at those flowers!” They truly were breathtaking.

Hayley couldn’t have done a better job on Rebecca’s hair and makeup and she is one of my favorite people to work with – this girl is so much fun! Julie’s cake was amazing (as always)! And Finally – last but not least Paul with Sunflower films and the video he created! It was a little odd for Jaison and I to be the IN the shots for a change, but so much fun! We love the way the final product turned out. Brides – if you are considering having a videographer and you’re on the fence — do it! Cut the costs somewhere else (like your alcohol budget) — it will be worth it and you’ll be so happy you did, I promise. Check out the video here! Cheers to an amazing team!

Magnolia Belle Floral | Conway, AR

When one of your very best-friends is a florist and asks you to come take photos of her pretty creations – of course you do!

Anna, of Magnolia Belle Floral does such amazing work and she is a pleasure to work with; I mean that from the bottom of my heart. I always have brides asking where to go for florals and she is always on my list of recommendations! I just love her and her work!

We had such a fun day eating lunch, talking and playing with flowers a few weeks ago! Here is the aftermath of that day – gorgeous bloomsĀ that we are excited to feature on the blog on this gloomy Sunday – giving us inspiration and excitement for upcoming sunny summer days!

Happy wedding season from us and Magnolia Belle Floral!

Katie + Brad Eagle | Little Rock, AR Wedding

So many things that I love about this day – her dresses (yes two) and both were beautiful, her shoes, the cakes, her invites, reception — I could go on and on! Katie and Brad celebrated their big day on March 11th this year. This was our second wedding for the year and what a fun night it was! We started at the Doubletree with getting ready photos with Jessica Humerick doing her makeup, then headed to the Clinton Library for their first look and some photos of Katie getting into her dress – then it came a downpour! Just a little setback; luckily her ceremony location, Levy Baptist Church, was beautiful and we were able to get some beautiful indoor photos! After the ceremony and family photos, we headed back to the Clinton Library for the reception where the party began! Minus the rain – everything was pretty perfect all day! And the rain thankfully held off for their glow stick exit! Katie and Brad – thank you so much for letting Sterling Imageworks photograph you wedding! We love y’all!

Sydney + Matt Martinez | Paron, AR Wedding

We are so excited to bring this beautiful Cold Springs wedding to the blog today! Sydney and Matt were a blast & anyone who serves ‘breakfast for dinner’ as their wedding reception food – is awesome in our book! We LOVED that they hung huge canvases up from their engagement session in the entryway to the reception – so fun and it was the first time we have seen canvases that big!

Now lets talk about herĀ florals – Tanarah always does an amazing job but we really loved her use of succulents in the bouquets; one of our favorite little details of the day! We are thrilled to feature this amazing couple! Check out their awesome video by Sunflower filmsĀ hereĀ orĀ their feature online at Arkansas Bride here! Enjoy browsing their perfect day!

Kaitlin + Nash | Great Gatsby Themed Wedding – Hot Springs, AR

Kaitlin and Nash got married this past October, near Halloween, and instead of a traditional Halloween themed wedding – they had something a little different in mind. Great Gatsby was a reoccurring theme from their day; from the bridesmaids dresses, accessories, and reception decor – everything looked like it was right out of the 1920s.

We loved that they had a unique element to their ceremony – the blessing of their rings by all in attendance. We have been photographing weddings since 2010 and we have never seen this done, and we loved it. The ceremony took place at Anthony Chapel in Garvan Gardens and we headed to The Arlington Hotel in downtown Hot Springs for their reception. The groom’s cake had a topper that Kaitlin handmade with modeling cay for his favorite band, the Grateful Dead. They danced the night away and departed with a sparkler exit. We loved capturing these sweet moments!

Haley Palanca + Daniel Hopkins | Paron, Arkansas

Haley and Daniel tied the knot on October 28, 2016 at Cold Springs in Paron, Arkansas. Sitting on 100 acres near Little Rock, Cold Springs is a relatively new wedding venue, less than two years old.
Ā I loved working with this couple, I can not say that enough. They both have the suchĀ easy-going beautiful personalities! They are just gorgeous on the inside and out!
Ā The Hopkins said “I do” at an outdoor ceremony by the lake, with florals with rich colors and greenery –Ā Anna Rogers of Magnolia Belle Floral truly made their southern vision come to life with beautiful arrangements, bouquets and boutonnieres. Their flower girls wore navy blue dresses, which matched the groomsmen and the ring bearer looked so cute in his suspenders!
As you entered into their reception – canvases over 5 feet tall hung on both sides of the entry-way. & Their pizza bar was a huge hit with guests (and their vendors)! Their cake was Ā beautiful and served as one of the main focal point of the room.
We ended the night with a beautiful sparkler exit! I could look at these images forever — cheers to officially blogging our first wedding this year!

Holiday Styled Shoot | Conway, Arkansas

2016 has been a fantastic year for us at Sterling Imageworks! We have had 53 wonderful weddingsĀ this year & we have been so blessed to get to know each of our clients. Sometimes vendors get together and plan a little something of our own – our own design and our own creativity get to run wild and that is when the real magic happens! Anna and I wanted to do a holiday styled shoot – no models (besides Anna in her cute hat posing for a few — love), just florals, pretty design and colorful tablescapes for days. We wanted to incorporate Thanksgiving as well as Christmas and even a little winter look. We just had a blast; laughing, setting up the tables and even munching on the delicious cookies!

I love how this all came together in the photographs & here is a little snippet of photographing things we love – the details!

Taylor + Alex | Little Rock, AR Wedding

Taylor and Alex tied the knot at the Castle on Stagecoach on October 1, 2016 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Taylor, a writer, who just finished grad school in New York City – knew she wanted to do a medieval themed wedding – complete with historic elements from medievalĀ times.

Her bouquet was complete with a hilt as the “stems” — something only Tanarah Luxe Floral of Little Rock could execute. TheĀ florals were so extravagant – in colors that screamed royalty. The ceremony took place in front of a large hanging circular arrangement that made the perfect backdrop for their celebration. The bride entered the ceremony in a horse drawn carriage with her dad, it looked like a true fairytale.

The family crest hung above the custom dance floor that displayed the groom’s last name. The cake was beautifully handcrafted by Natalie Madison Artisan Cakes of Little Rock — the crest on the front was completely done by hand.

The invitations mimicked a vintage scroll invitation – complete with clipart of the castle.
The guest book had a vintage feel and resembled a storybook — the guests signed with a quill and a genuine bottle of ink.

The dress Taylor chose looked like a ballgown fit for a queen and Alex was charming in his navy tux. Everything was wonderful! Capturing this wedding was such a joy!

Eric + Kayla | Grayton Beach, Florida Wedding

Kayla and Eric have been dating for as long as I have known them — and that is quite a while! I met these two in eleventh grade and it makes my heart so happy to see these two married! Kayla has the sweetest personality & she looked simply stunning in her dress from Proposals in Little Rock.

The beach setting was so perfect for the ceremony; and the A-Typical beach house where they danced the night away with friends and family was a beautiful and so relaxing!

We couldn’t have been more thrilled to collaborate with an amazing team of vendors for this beach wedding! Anne Claire Allen did a fantastic job coordinating the day, putting together the florals and making sure everything was in perfect order for everyone! I can not say enough good things Anne Claire and her team! And our friends at Betwixt Magnolias couldn’t have captured her day any more perfectly than they did through videography. See the link to their wedding video below! <3

Cheers to finally blogging this beautiful summer wedding – I wish we could all go back!

Kendra + Steven James | Mayflower, AR Wedding

Kendra and Steven are two of the kindest souls. This was a bride that started out as a friend, but we grew even closer as we worked together. She is fun, always laughing and has the sweetest spirit. Steven matches her just the same! From eating ice cream during their engagement photos all the way to the big day – we had a blast. We couldn’t be more blessed to call these two our friends! Cheers!

XO!

Styled Shoot | Sisterhood

When the Bridal Cottage of North Little Rock approached us about doing a styled shoot Ā showcasing five of their beautiful brides, we couldn’t say no. We were thrilled to photograph their vision and help it come to life! The owner, Lindy,Ā envisionedĀ a sisterhood theme; which we LOVE! It was so unique and fun and just a great time spending the evening with all of these incredible women! Wicked salon jumped on board with their amazing talents for hair and makeup; and we couldn’t have done the shoot without the beautiful florals from Tipton & Hurst. The Terry House in Little Rock was the perfect setting for our classic look with a little floral flare. Everything was perfect! We can’t say enough good things about each of the vendors that participated – you were all such a joy to work with — thank you! Check out these bridal beauties!

Kaylee + Dakota Weatherly | Roland, AR Wedding

Kaylee and Dokota’s wedding looked like something out of a southern wedding magazine! She looked like a princess and this was such a special week for her family! This doubled as the week that her niece was born, sweet Charlee made her arrival at the perfect time to take part in the wedding festivities! We got to do sweet Charlee’s newborn photos shortly after this day, getting the opportunity to work with this amazing family once again!

We couldn’t be more happy to have amazing clients live the Harrison & Weatherly families! I love how happy these two were to see one another during their first look — and Jaison captured it perfectly! Check out all of her gorgeous wedding attendants,Ā the bridesmaids dresses are some of my favorites of all time & that color scheme was amazing with the florals! Another favorite thing of ours from this wedding was the CAKE! The cake is a gorgeous strawberry naked cake and it photographed so well! Check out Dakota + Kaylee’s sweet summer wedding on the blog today! We love you two!
