Sydney & Evan | Fayetteville Engagements
In 2015 We took Sydney’s high school senior photos. Four years later we are honored to be able to photograph her engagement session in Fayetteville!
Sydney currently plays softball at the U of A and Evan played baseball for the Razorbacks from 2017-2018. It was only fitting that we shot part of their session at Baum Stadium!

This girl — she is one of the most beautiful people I have ever met. And I am not just saying that as a nice thing to say on my blog. She truly has a heart of gold and her love for the Lord radiates every single time I am around her. She is now my good friend Drew’s sister-in-law and I am truly a little jealous of him because of it. I will never have a sister-in-law because Jaison is an only child; but if I were going to pick one – I would want one like Leslie. While we were taking her bridals a few flowers fell from her bouquet and she went completely out of her way to make sure she gave them to a little girl who was in awe of the ‘princess’ in the white gown — so sweet!
She wore not one dress – but two for her bridals! One was hers and the other was a family heirloom. A 137 year-old dress that her mom, grandma, great-grandma (and maybe even further back) wore. It was originally made from drapes and it was the coolest thing! I loved the photos I captured of her and her mom hugging and laughing at the end while she was in the vintage dress- warmed my heart!
I am so thankful she and Steven chosen Jaison and I to photograph their wedding – and thankful to call them friends.
Wedding photos coming soon; for now here are some of her bridals to tide you over!
ps- you may notice a few photos of four-leaf clovers in her hands; her dad has a special talent — he can spot them out of nowhere! It was so neat and a little crazy! We snapped a few to remember the day!

I had the privilege of photographing engagements for Mary and Chase last week and y’all – Â it was the windiest session I can ever recall doing. BUT, despite the crazy wind – I am so in love with these! There were large periods of time where we just huddled together and had to wait it out – not even kidding. They both were patient, so understanding, and we stuck it out and I am so glad we did; because I think we got some amazing shots!
I genuinely enjoyed catching up with Mary. I hadn’t seen her since we graduated from UCA and I loved getting to see her & finally meet Chase! These are moments that I am so glad that Jaison and I chose UCA as our university. No matter how long you go without seeing other UCA Alum. – it is always so easy to pick right back up where you left off.
And last but not least – can we talk about her cute outfits?! I love the green dress sh chose, it was such a good complimentary color for her skin tone and hair! AND, she is just DARLING overall and has such a beautiful smile! Basically, I just think Mary is adorable! Â And I know the wind was not in her favor but that hair is still so so gorgeous! I am over the moon excited to share these and I can’t wait until their wedding later this year – I know it will be such a fun time working with these two along the way!

We decided to change up our scenery a bit and head to Northwest Arkansas for this sweet couple’s engagement session! Paige is from Conway and Matt is from Louisiana – and the two of them together couldn’t be more perfect. I asked them to share their love story with me so I can submit these photos to Arkansas Bride, and this is what Matt said:
>>>>>>>>>>Four years ago I met a girl who was out of my league. It wasn’t even a question. She had dark hair, deep brown eyes, and a kind heart (Yes, you can get that last part from just looking at her, I promise). She was way too good for me. I introduced myself and thought that would be the end of it, and it was, for the next two years at least.Â
She ended up moving to the same complex I lived in for my senior year of undergrad at the UofA. I hoped I would get achance to know her and at least be friends. In the back of my mind, I started hoping that someday I might even have a chance to date her, but I still thought those odds were slim to none. We had some overlaps in our friend groups and pretty soon I found myself gravitating towards her every chance I got. I didn’t realize I had feelings for her until the night she wore men’s sweatpants from Wal-Mart and trekked through the fresh snow with me to get a bite to eat, and I had the sudden awareness that there was no one I would rather be with. That feeling hasn’t left me.Â
Some time after that she realized she had the same feeling. That someday I was waiting for had finally arrived. I proposed to Paige this January, and I can’t wait to spend my life with her. So here’s to someday, and every day after that.<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Paige – you have one sweet finance. We love it when a GROOM isn’t afraid to show his true feelings out loud. My heart just melts looking back at these images! And I can’t tell you how much I adore Paige, she is has such a kind personality and I feel like I know her so well already.
I can’t wait for these two to get married – August can’t get here soon enough!
xoxo,
Callie
