Tracie French | Little Rock, AR Bridals

When Tracie approached us about photographing her wedding, I knew she would be such a fun bride to work with. Tracie and I have been friends almost six years, we met when she joined Alpha Tau at UCA- in January of 2012. Since then, Tracie has become one of the most genuine and energetic people I know. Loving animals like I do, we automatically became friends. With her love for animals, we HAD to sneak in a few bridal portraits with the venue owner’s cats – so hilarious! (See below)!

Anne-Claire Allen Planning & Design made all of her wedding dreams come true. The venue, Goodwin Manor was the perfect setting for her bridals and wedding day – I love this venue & the owners so much. There is just not any venue in Arkansas that looks like this one — it is GORGEOUS! Chanda Price made Tracie look flawless with beautiful hair and makeup. Wedding photos coming soon, but for now, cheers to this fabulous bride & her fall bridal session!

Emily + Austin | Little Rock, AR Engagements

When it comes to engagements, they are one of my favorite things to photograph! Engagements are a time that I get to really know the couple; especially if it is a couple that I don’t know personally before the shoot. I like to think of them as a practice run for the wedding day! It is a chance for me to get acquainted with the couple and each of their personalities.

We photographed Emily’s best friend’s wedding late last year and I knew that if Autumn loved Emily, we would love her too!

During this session I was thinking how excited I am that we get to photograph Emily and Austin’s wedding – they are the type of couple that I want to be friends with! So relaxed, fun and completely and wholeheartedly just sweet to one another. AND, they love dogs so…. that made me love them even more! Rossi, their adorable golden doodle stole the show, just like Emily said he would. I literally can not wait until their 2018 wedding – so thankful for clients like these two!

Shelby Lovelace Bradshaw | Little Rock, AR Bridals

Today we are busy editing our hearts out but we had to take a quick break to bring you Shelby’s bridal portraits! We took these mid-summer and it was so toasty outside; we had to beat the heat and the Arkansas State Capitol was the perfect indoor venue! Her classic dress shined against the beautiful marble staircase. And her gorgeous bouquet by Magnolia Belle Floral was just the pop of color that completely made the photos! So in love with this bride and this session!

Cara Erwin & Boyd Schaefer | North Little Rock, AR Wedding

Cara and Boyd got married earlier this year in their home church and it was magical! It was supposed to rain all day long – and guess what, majority of the day it was clear! It didn’t rain until we were finished with all of their outdoor photographs and I was so thankful for this! It was a day filled with lots of laughter and a few happy tears. We loved getting to witness just how close these two were with their family and friends – they were surrounded by so much love! We are so thrilled to bring this sweet wedding to the blog this evening!

Leah Yeager + Payne Harding | Little Rock, AR Wedding

Leah & Payne found us through a mutual friend and I am so thankful they did, because working with this pair was a blast! They celebrated with friends and family on April 22nd at their family farm in Little Rock. The ceremony was intimate with mostly family and a few friends; afterwards they celebrated with a large party later that eventing with more guests! The venue, a house located on the property was the perfect setting – there was even a wine-seller underground that led to the reception entrance – so fun!

As you may notice from the photos, it rained literally almost all day long! I was able to snap a few shots of the outdoor reception area before the rain really hit and from there on I prayed it would let up, but it was a constant sprinkle for hours. So we made the best of it and brought out a cute umbrella and made use of the gorgeous front porch – those portraits are some of my favorites of the day!

Payne is the head chef and owner of Cache’ in Little Rock, the restaurant is actually how he and Leah met – for a short time Leah worked at the restaurant.

With Payne’s background in food – you can imagine how wonderful their reception food was. The food was delicious and endless – gourmet cheese, meats, sushi, stir-fry and more. This was some of the best wedding food I have ever eaten y’all!

Their reception lasted late into the night and it was truly a party! Their band, who is from Florida – was so awesome! They broke out the masks (haha, you’ll see what I am talking about below) and they had such a fun time! There was so much love at the reception, you can tell how much L&P really love their friends and family; and vice versa — there was so much laughter and hugs! So sweet to look back through these and share them on the blog today!

Chani Wolf Wilson | Conway, AR Bridals

Chani is one of my favorite people in the world! I like to think of her as my redheaded mini-me! I went to college with her and she was my sorority sister at UCA; and one of her best friends is one of my closest friends (and little in AST), Ashton.

When she told me she wanted to use us for photography for her wedding, I was OVER. THE. MOON excited! I think the world of her and she was the most beautiful bride.

She and Seth got married at Sassafras Vineyard in Northwest Arkansas but we did her bridals in Conway – Hendrix was the perfect spot! & Two of her bridesmaids, Brittany and Caitlyn (who also went to college with me) came along to her bridals to help! They were awesome helping us carry everything!

Just wait until you see her wedding photos – coming soon! Love you Chani!

Lindsay and Justin celebrated their wedding a few weekends ago on July 8th and tonight we are thrilled to bring you her bridals to the blog!

I love Sundays because I get to catch up on blogging all of our sessions and share our amazing clients with you. We have had a long day of blogging and I knew this session would be the perfect way to end the evening.

Lindsay is my kind of girl – super relaxed, fun, easy-going, and just a joy to be around! Her sweet mom and sisters came to her bridal session, which was awesome because they kept Lindsay laughing the entire time! So proud of these portraits and excited to show them off tonight! Loved working with this beauty!

PS- We are so in love with her bouquet by Anna Rogers of Magnolia Belle Floral – stunning!

Jennifer Grant | Little Rock, AR Bridals

These summer months are making me wish it was December again! So I am throwing it back to Jen’s winter bridal session! Jen had a unique bridal session, it was after her wedding, rather than before! Dover bridals after the wedding made everything really relaxing and it was fun to catch up and talk about the wedding weeks later! We couldn’t be happier to bring this dreamy winter bride to you during one of the hottest weeks of the year! How many days until Christmas?! It can’t get here soon enough!

Thank you for being such a wonderful client, Jen!

Kayla Zurga Nevala | NLR, AR Bridals

When a bride tells us that she wants to bring her dogs to her bridal session, we do a little happy dance! Kayla’s two fur-babies were so cute and made the perfect little models! As a huge dog lover, I love that she wanted to include them (we have three of our own)! Kayla was so much fun and we are so thankful we got to work with her and Louis! Wedding photos from their day at Cold Springs will be coming to the blog soon; but for now – check out her gorgeous bridals and sweet pups!

Amanda Mathews Schichtl | Little Rock, AR Bridals

My family and Amanda’s family have known one another our whole lives; her uncle is one of my dad’s lifelong friends – but it wasn’t until her wedding planning journey when I really got to know this amazing girl!

She has the biggest heart; & yesterday she married Zach! I could tell how much she loves her friends and family – she told them so many times while fighting back her tears of joy. It was the sweetest day with such wonderful people. I have loved making memories with her as her photographer and new friend <3

Jaison and I have been heart eyed over these bridals for several weeks and we couldn’t wait for a single day to pass after the wedding to share them! Goodwin Manor was the perfect setting and the team at Tanarah Luxe Floral knocked her bouquet out of the park!

So many pretty photos of her on the blog below! Check them out!

Emily + James Snow | Bentonville, AR Wedding

When two strangers from different parts of the country signed up to work for a program in Boston for at risk high school students, they didn’t expect to find their soulmate; but like many love stories – Emily and James found love in an unexpected way. After a year with AmeriCorps, the pair were the only two in their program to give it a go for a second year in a row.

Emily says:

“Working so closely together really helped us to know that we had found something special. At the end of the second year in Boston, I moved to Nashville to teach Special Education there, and James told me that he wanted to come with me. I will always remember him telling me that; it was right after a concert that he went with me to (one of my very favorites), and I was ecstatic but didn’t want him to feel like I was pressuring him. I never told him this, but that was when I knew deep down that we would get married one day.”

These two were so in love and it showed from the very first time we met them during their engagements in Kansas City – where they both live now. It was freezing, but they made the best of it and we had a great time getting to know them. We will forever think of them when we think of Kansas City! Fast forward to their wedding.

I love something about every wedding we photograph. But with Emily and James, I loved every single part (seriously) it was planned so well from top to bottom, inside and out. It was intimate yet still a good size; held in the backyard of her family home. It was wonderful. We thought it might rain (Thank you mother nature for preventing that!) but it was clear all day long, allowing us to capture every little detail without having to worry about the weather. Emily credits most of the success of the wedding to her mom, which I am sure is where her amazing planning skills come from. I was so blessed to have such an organized bride – she was always so prompt and helpful when I asked her questions.

Emily: “Planning our wedding was all about the help of family and friends. Outside of the week-of when we almost had to move the wedding inside for extreme weather, with the help of my family and friends it really wasn’t stressful for James and I at all. I’m a details person (it was actually very relaxing for me to make a spreadsheet Cue-to-Cue of everything happening on the day of) and my mom is a vision person. More than anything else, it was a bonding experience for us, we make a great team! My mom handmade so many perfect little details- the beautiful signs with the white script, the tassels on the garland, even the pew markers! There was nothing that I could dream up that she couldn’t make happen. And what she didn’t make or find, someone else did! Almost every detail and decoration was touched by the love of our families and my community (I lived in Bentonville from preschool through graduating from BHS). One of my bridesmaids families that we’ve known forever just happened to have an ice cream truck that they lent us for the day! It really was such a humbling and loving experience to have so many people who wanted to help make our day perfect. And it really was.”

Emily and her mom really thought of it all. The macarons were the best I have had in my life (no exaggeration here!), the ice cream truck, the mustang, the greenhouse where we did portraits after, the “snow” that the guests threw at the exit, the lotion they gave out as favors (Fresh Sparkling Snow scented from Bath & BodyWorks), the giftbags for out-of-towners with a ‘Bentonville’ theme and ideas for tourists; and so many other sweet details. The ceremony had everyone in the crowd (including me) tearing up, it was so genuine and romantically sweet.

Emily: “Having so many handmade and borrowed elements really made our wedding very affordable without having to make many hard choices in terms of money. Between my mom working on the wedding basically full-time on top of our hired wedding planner, we had a team assembled around us and it really brought costs down. Our planner I felt was very affordable, but I would definitely say that every single bride should have one. At the very least, a day-of planner, who you feel truly understands your entire vision. It really took away the stress from me and my mom on the day of to know that we could leave the last minute decisions to someone we trusted. Other splurges for us were a great photographer (which I would also recommend to every bride–it’s so easy to forget many of the details of your wedding, and the pictures will remind you of everything you forget!), pampering/beauty for us and the wedding party (we are firm believers that we need to pamper our people), and lots of flowers to really emphasize the garden party feel! We also wanted to locally source as many of our foods in particular as possible, so that was an important investment as well.”

Cheers to one of my favorite weddings of all time! Love this couple to the moon!

Taylor Ross Bridals | Conway, AR

Taylor & Dan celebrated their wedding this past Friday and it was everything! So much fun from the start all the way to the end! Her bridesmaids were the biggest help, always trying to make sure they were in the right place and helping coordinate everyone for us during family photos – they were awesome!

We have done several of Taylor’s relative’s weddings and her friend’s weddings from St. Joe! We had 9 brides & grooms in attendance (future and past); so it was like a big reunion for Jaison and I — it was so great to see all of them and catch up!

I absolutely loved working with Taylor every step of the way, from engagements and bridals down to the wedding day – she was a dream bride! Thank you so much for choosing us to capture your wedding journey! We didn’t have to wait long to share these bridals, because we just took them about 2 weeks ago today to be exact – I always love getting to share them right away! Keep a lookout for Dan and Tay’s wedding coming up on the blog later this summer!

Lauren Morris | Conway, AR Bridals

I have been patiently waiting to post these for over a month! Since Lauren and Heath’s wedding was this past weekend – I am finally allowed to share! Lauren in stunningly beautiful; but my favorite part about her is her heart for others.

She often reminds me of a younger version of myself; with wayyyyy better basketball skills (not even kidding!) I loved getting to meet her family and friends this past weekend at her home church in Cabot, (where the wedding was held).

She and Heath have been dating since high school and I loved getting to know her through Alpha Tau at UCA, I got to be a mentor to her during her time as Alpha Tau’s president. SO thankful for this chance that I have had to grow closer in my relationship with her through her wedding journey! I can’t wait for her wedding photos to be ready; Lauren, Haeth and their entire bridal party looked so stunning! So excited that your new journey with Heath has officially started! Happy honey-mooning this week!

Summer Styled Shoot | Jamestown Ranch, Arkansas

Happy Sunday! When we get to collaborate with other vendors, it is our favorite thing! This team was so great; we highly recommend each and every one of them. We got together and created a styled shoot with Rebecca and Jacob, one of our favorite couples! They got married in 2015 and it was so much fun to photograph them again.

Our theme was simple, southern and natural with a touch of boho chic. The dress that the bridal cottage let us use was absolutely gorgeous and Rebecca looked so amazing in it! Sending big hugs to all that collaborated on this shoot with us! Anna Roger’s floral design really came to life and we have received so many compliments on our photos from this set that have included “oh my gosh look at those flowers!” They truly were breathtaking.

Hayley couldn’t have done a better job on Rebecca’s hair and makeup and she is one of my favorite people to work with – this girl is so much fun! Julie’s cake was amazing (as always)! And Finally – last but not least Paul with Sunflower films and the video he created! It was a little odd for Jaison and I to be the IN the shots for a change, but so much fun! We love the way the final product turned out. Brides – if you are considering having a videographer and you’re on the fence — do it! Cut the costs somewhere else (like your alcohol budget) — it will be worth it and you’ll be so happy you did, I promise. Check out the video here! Cheers to an amazing team!

Kassi Bruich Caldwell | Little Rock, AR Bridals

This month Kassi and Matt are celebrating their anniversary so we wanted to do a little throwback blog post to her bridal session – a session we have wanted to share for a long time but we have been playing catch-up on our blog! We truly have had so many sessions in the last year; I don’t say that to brag in any way – I just want to explain why we can not blog every single session – but we sure try to share as many as we can!

This is one session that I just couldn’t let slip through the cracks! Kassi was a beautiful bride and even more beautiful on the inside – my favorite kind of person. We have remained friends after wedding planning resumed for her, and I am so excited to coincidentally photograph a family session for her tomorrow! I also loved that Kas wore her mom’s wedding dress in a few photos at her bridal session and at her reception – it was completely redone to make a fun short reception dress while retaining some of the sweet vintage details! Love this girl and this session!

Tanarah Luxe Floral did a fabulous job (as always) on her bridal and wedding day bouquets!

Hannah + Craig | Conway, AR Engagements

We have had more and more high school sweethearts lately and I think that is so sweet! Hannah and Craig have been dating since high school and this winter they will tie the knot officially! They’ll be getting married at St. Joseph in Conway; so it was only fitting to do their engagements in Conway. We had such a great time shoot these for this amazing couple! Can’t wait to work with them throughout their wedding journey!

Mallory + Colton | Conway, AR Engagements

Watching Mallory and Colton’s relationship grow has been one of my favorite things. I literally love these two – and I love them together. They are literally the same person – just the male and female version of one another. They are sweet, kind, quirky, hilarious, cute, and two of the most genuine people you will ever meet. They are hands down one of my favorite couples; that double as great friends to Jaison and I.

We met them at UCA and I have always thought of Mallory as a little sister. She was in my sorority and she was Jenny’s (my roommate in college) “little” in AST. I loved Mal since I met her, I remember the first time I met her to be exact. Jenny asked if I wanted to go meet her new little in her dorm-room, and of course I said yes. I wanted to meet our sweet new AST from Texas!

Mallory was actually in a wheelchair at the time — she had been in a really bad car accident but still was as cute as a button! Fast forward through college and I got to know her even better through our time at UCA.

Then after college, their best friends – Kim and Chris Diaz (who we also love to the moon) got married and all three of us couples got to bond a little further through that experience of the Diaz wedding & wedding planning.

When Mallory called and said she wanted us to be her and Colton’s wedding photographers, it was such an exciting day and I couldn’t have been more excited to work with these two! I am so thankful for friends like these two who have supported us every step of the way in our journey with Sterling Imageworks. They have watched our company grow almost the entire time we have been in business. With that being said, we thought it was only fitting to start the session where it all began — UCA. And we ended in downtown Conway with more of a formal look.

(Love love love the shirts they wore in the first part — Mallory is from Texas and Colton from Oklahoma)  — such a cute idea! Here is a glimpse into their engagement session – we are completely swooning over them all.

We love you two!

Kaitlin + Nash | Great Gatsby Themed Wedding – Hot Springs, AR

Kaitlin and Nash got married this past October, near Halloween, and instead of a traditional Halloween themed wedding – they had something a little different in mind. Great Gatsby was a reoccurring theme from their day; from the bridesmaids dresses, accessories, and reception decor – everything looked like it was right out of the 1920s.

We loved that they had a unique element to their ceremony – the blessing of their rings by all in attendance. We have been photographing weddings since 2010 and we have never seen this done, and we loved it. The ceremony took place at Anthony Chapel in Garvan Gardens and we headed to The Arlington Hotel in downtown Hot Springs for their reception. The groom’s cake had a topper that Kaitlin handmade with modeling cay for his favorite band, the Grateful Dead. They danced the night away and departed with a sparkler exit. We loved capturing these sweet moments!

Kimberly Fitts | UCA Senior | Conway, AR

Kimber is such a sweetheart! During her session she was so comfortable in front of the camera and made my job so easy! She was an absolute joy to work with!

She and I both attended UCA and we were in the same sorority – Alpha Sigma Tau. I have enjoyed getting to know her over the years! And I’m so proud of her as she begins the professional phase of her life! Congratulations on your December graduation from UCA, Kimber!

<3 Thank you for letting me capture your college senior portraits!
